Hi.
How it started.
Welcome! I'm thrilled to share my journey and how it has shaped my approach to capturing stories through photography. I received a BS from ETSU in 2007 and spent over ten years in finance and accounting. However, everything changed when my second child was born with special needs. I made the choice to leave my full-time finance career and pursue my passion for photography in 2015.
How it grew...
I started by taking classes at the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!), attending workshops, and gaining experience by working alongside talented photographers in East Tennessee. I eventually developed my own personal style and launched my business. Within three years of opening my photography business, I had the opportunity to work for well-known production companies, providing editorial and flat content for HGTV, Travel Channel, TLC, Discovery, and Regal Entertainment. Additionally, I have worked with famous music artists, professional athletes, and actors/actresses. I prioritize my client's privacy and ensure that their photo shoots are captured with the utmost professionalism and private protected galleries.
I have worked as a production assistant, art stylist, and production coordinator as a freelancer, gaining valuable experience in various aspects of the production industry. I am fortunate to have over nine years of experience behind the lens, creating art. Throughout this time, I have learned a great deal about people, camera capabilities, light and color theory, and how these elements combine to capture emotion-filled and timeless images.
If there's one thing I'd like to convey, it's that I am passionate about working with people and creating fun photoshoots filled with genuine laughter. I am committed to ensuring that you feel at ease, providing prompts and directions if needed to make the overall experience enjoyable, or following your lead if you have a set vision for your shoot.
